Event organisation can be complex and time consuming and we aim to make your event booking at UQ Business School Downtown as streamlined as possible. Organising your event at Downtown is as simple as:
- Review our Event Spaces capacities, Pricing and Seasonal Menus options and decide what you need for your event
- Complete our Make a Booking Enquiry with your full events details
- Space availability for your event will be checked and confirmed via return email or phone within 48 hours. If your requested space is unavailable, an alternative space to suit your needs will be offered
- Once the Event Space is confirmed as appropriate and available, a Event Quote will be prepared and forwarded to you (a Tentative Booking will be held for 5 days from this time)
- To confirm your event, return the signed Event Quote via fax or email scan to our Events Administrators
Acceptance of an Event Quote confirms you have read and understand the full Terms and Conditions of the venue including the venue and catering cancellation clauses and The University of Queensland Venue Hire Conditions.
Key Timelines and Deadlines for Events:
Enquiry - a restriction will be placed on your events pace while a quote is prepared
Quote forwarded - a Tentative Hold will be placed on your events space for a maximum of 5 working days
Confirmation - signed quote must be received within 5 working days after which the Tentative room hold will be released
Pre-event Confirmation - all event details including final numbers must be finalised 5 days prior to the event date
Cancellation - penalties apply for both the venue and catering
